Why do dickheads always think they are hard done to?
The traditional thing to do on the first day of the year is to wish each other a happy new year.
With this wish we hope that the person we are talking to will have a peaceful, prosperous new year, be happy and live hopefully to the end of it. It is amazing though to see so many people say this without meaning it!
In bars around the world people were wishing each other well and then beating the crap out of each other a few minutes later, mostly, it has to be said, because they were drunk.
No doubt as the year goes on, many of the wishes will fade and many people will forget the wishes they made and start beating each other either physically, verbally, financially or electronically......
If we all took our wishes more seriously, and meant what we said rather than paying lip service to a social doctorine then we may see a much better world.
So in the new year it may be worth following through the wishes we make with a few actions to ensure that the wishes come true and are more likely to stay alive.
